With embroidery string, watercolor paper and natural materials, we’ll make alternative drawings using organic forms & geometric shapes.
Choose from an array of sticks, dried flowers, evergreen branches or fallen leaves to adorn your drawing. We’ll sew our organic collections to a piece of watercolor paper, creating a contrasting design.
If you’re in to it, we’ll use watercolor paint, adding another layer to our alternative drawing.
45 minutes to poke about.

Why is this person asking me what time I was born???
Planets. Houses. Zodiac Signs. Astrology is a fun exploration into Greek mythology, geometry, and an ancient question ”why are they like that?”
In the first workshop, we talked about the three big considerations: Planets, Houses, Zodiac Signs and learned to map our own birth charts. For this second class, we’ll learn about the angles that planets make toward each other, discovering energy in Trines (triangles), Squares, Conjunctions & more.
You’ll receive a birth chart with your planets already in place, and we’ll map their angles and meaning with colored pencils or with embroidery string to create an alternative drawing. Take your unique birth chart home with you for more study and/or as wall art.
1 hour to learn something witchy

Email sucks us dry… but letter art nourishes.
In this class, we’ll fold three (or more) styles of envelopes, learning from origami just in time for the holiday season.
Using bone folders and an array of paper types, including old photography books, we’ll learn to fold envelopes that can be used to store seeds, give money or hide a secret notes.
Afterward, we’ll collage an envelope, using different techniques in paper art… with the choice to send to a loved one in the mail!
45min - 1hour to defund Hallmark

Tired of the winter section of your closet? Have some sweaters that are cute, but not in your color? Love that sweater on anyone… but yourself? Swap it out!
Join us for a recycled night of fashion. Simply bring 5-8 sweaters that you’d like to give away - we’ll hang up our contributions and swap our sweaters! Hopefully finding true love. Bring friends! Bring their sweaters! (But please bring sweaters that are stain-free, freshly washed and without holes.)
This is a night to try something new, and let go of the sweaters that don’t serve you.
As a treat, you’ll receive a complimentary sweater repair kit to take home.
45 minutes to find a new look

Explore book-making and paper craft with this series “DIY Books” held once a month. For the second class, we’ll explore Japanese Stab Binding with collaborative book making.
Japanese Stab Binding is a technique that creates a stitched, geometric edge to bind paper. The result is a strong and beautiful book.
In the spirit of community, we’ll swap cherished recipes, just in time for the holidays. Each person will bring a recipe for everyone else to copy, then we’ll bind the recipes together with Japanese Stab Binding.
This book will be bound to a cedar board so that when cooking, your pages don’t get wet!
1 hour to get in a bind
BYO a cherished recipe. All other materials provided.
Checkers? Chess? How about the ancient game of UR?
In an attempt to get un-bored this winter, we’ll assemble wooden cedar blocks into board games, using Prisma Color pencils to decorate the board.
Choose unique templates like the game of UR, one of the oldest board games on record. Or use pieces to create hexagonal dominoes, or triangular checkers! We’ll have layouts for a variety of games or feel free to create your own!
